Driving Experience
Adaptive Lighting
Adaptive Lighting with Ford Dynamic LED headlights and daytime running lights deliver a precise and intensely bright light pattern that automatically adjusts to suit different road and driving conditions. In addition, the glare-free high beam adjusts itself automatically to avoid dazzling other drivers, and the new system can even read the curve of the road to illuminate corners and crossings before you enter them.
[4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.
Driving dyanmics
Personalise your driving experience by altering the Focus’ throttle response, steering, and even gear-change behaviour to match your driving style. Selectable drive modes include ‘Normal’, ‘Eco’ and ‘Sport’.
Electric Park Brake
The electric parking brake is a simple addition that has some surprising advantages. For instance, it gives you more room in the cabin, it’s easier to apply, and you won’t have to get the brakes serviced as regularly. And to apply the brake, all you have to do is press a button in the centre console.
Intelligent Speed Assist
Intelligent Speed Assist is designed to enhance your speed control, enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, a front-facing camera automatically detects the current speed limit. If activated, the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit. [4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.
Lane Keeping
The Lane Keeping System uses a forward-looking camera to detect if you’re unintentionally drifting out of lane. Lane Keeping Aid provides gentle steering torque assistance to help guide you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 64 km/h, or can be turned off manually [4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.
Blind Spot Information
The Blind Spot Information System uses RADAR sensors to see vehicles that may be hidden in your blind spot. They’re situated on either side of your Focus and alert you with an orange light, clearly displayed in the side door mirror. [4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.
Split View Camera
Split-View Camera technology helps you to see traffic that’s coming from the rear sides. It works by showing you a near 180-degree image of the area behind your vehicle. This helps you to spot obstacles that can’t be seen over your shoulder, or in the mirrors when you’re reversing. [4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go is designed to not only adjust your cruising speed but can also stop and relaunch the engine if traffic slows to a standstill. What’s more, when engaged, Lane Centring is designed to provide active steering assistance, by following road markings, to keep you centered in your lane. [3] ACC with Stop & Go and Lane Centring is standard on Focus Titanium & optional on Trend, ST-Line & Active Models. ACC has a minimum operating speed of 30km/h. The Stop & Go functionality of this system operates as low as 0km/hr in traffic jam situations. Comfort and Convenience

An innovative centre console that puts you in control
An advanced, multi-functional centre console enables you to control many of the vehicle’s systems from one place. There’s also useful storage box and a sliding arm rest.

Charging on the go
The interior of the Focus is designed to maximise space and convenience. For example, the large media bin in front of the gear lever is big enough for even the largest smartphones. And with wireless charging also available for compatible smartphones, it has never been easier to make sure your devices are always ready to use.

Go hands free with SYNC®3
SYNC®33 is our most advanced version to date. It's faster and easier to use, with enhanced voice commands and even more functionality. The new interface has larger buttons for improved usability, and the colour Touchscreen now features pinch-and-swipe gestures found on smartphones and tablets for even more intuitive navigation. SYNC®33 also features AppLink5, Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto, to display your smartphone's information on the touchscreen.

Performance and Efficiency

A Sophisticated New 8-Speed Automatic Transmission
With improved acceleration and super smooth gear changes, the all new 8-speed automatic transmission is engineered from the ground up to enhance your driving experience and maximise performance. We've replaced the traditional gear lever with a console-mounted rotary gear shift dial. This gives the interior a cleaner, more modern layout. And there's another useful feature: when you park your car, the shifter automatically sets itself to parking mode.

Get The Most Out Of Your Engine
The new and improved 1.5 litre Ford EcoBoost petrol engine is designed to give you all the power you'd expect from much larger engines. Ford EcoBoost technology delivers performance that's smooth, responsive and rewarding. To make the engine even more efficient, it now features cylinder deactivation. This shuts off a cylinder when torque demand is low, such as on a highway When torque demand increases, the cylinder springs back to life to give you the power you need.

Change Gears Fast, With Your Fingertips
Paddle Shifters are available with the All-New Ford Focus automatic transmission. This racing-inspired technology puts swift, effortless gear changes at your fingertips. And because the Paddle Shifters are mounted on the steering wheel, you can change gear more efficiently when cornering.
Safety and Security

Airbags to shield you from all angles
In addition to the driver and passenger front airbags, side airbags provide thorax protection and are designed to direct the occupant away from the impact area. Curtain airbags provide maximum coverage and headrests offer protection from whiplash. There are also front and rear seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters, seatbelt reminders for all seats, and a display that shows which occupied seats don't have their seatbelts fastened.

Stay in control whatever the conditions
Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your vehicle's progress. It senses when a vehicle is losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels to help stabilise it.
[4] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.

A system that can help protect pedestrians and cyclists
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection uses camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it'll then provide you with a warning. If you don't respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
